Conformance status

RenoFlow aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

This site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the standard is met but some parts are not. The specific gaps are listed below rather than left vague, because you deserve to know what you will run into before you run into it.

What is in place

• Every page declares its language, and the Spanish pages declare Spanish.
• A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches, so the header does not have to be tabbed through on every page.
• Headings run in order with no levels skipped, and each page has exactly one top-level heading.
• Landmarks are marked up properly, so a screen reader can jump between the navigation, the main content and the footer.
• Interactive elements show a visible focus ring when reached by keyboard.
• The footage that plays behind the story is decorative and is hidden from screen readers, so it is not announced as meaningless content. Everything the footage shows is also written out in the text beside it.
• If your device is set to "reduce motion", the scroll animation and the video are switched off automatically.
• A display-preferences panel, in the bottom corner of every page, can pause all motion, raise contrast, enlarge text and underline links. Your choice is remembered on your device.

Known limitations

We audited the live site on 11 October 2026 and measured these failures. They are real, we are not going to describe them as anything else, and we intend to fix them in the page defaults rather than leave them behind a panel.

• Contrast of secondary text. Some supporting text in the lighter sections of the page measures about 3:1 against its background, where WCAG asks for 4.5:1. Turning on "Higher contrast" in the display-preferences panel raises it to about 5.4:1.
• Contrast of the teal accent colour. Links and small labels in the brand teal measure about 3.7:1 on light backgrounds. "Higher contrast" raises this to about 5.5:1.
• Contrast of muted labels over the dark footage. Small grey labels on the dark sections measure between 4.1:1 and 4.5:1, just under the threshold.
• Video has no captions or audio description. The clips are silent and decorative, and the text beside each one carries the same information, so no content is only available in the video.

How this was assessed

By self-evaluation. We measured computed colour contrast on the live pages, checked heading order, landmarks, language attributes and keyboard focus, and reviewed the site at phone, tablet and desktop widths. The site has not been audited by an independent third party, and it has not been tested end to end with assistive technology by people who rely on it. Both of those would tell us more than we currently know.
